habe es mir jetzt auch gekauft. gestern abend habe ich auch recht lange auf diversen servern gezockt. bei denen mit hohem ping (>300) wars verdammt mühsam, aber wenn ich einen ordentlichen ping hatte (~30), dann konnte man imho gut spielen.
das mit dem nachladen war mir bisher noch nie aufgefallen.

naja, ftp over ssl wäre auch noch eine sichere variante. intern wohl einiges schneller als scp und dass es auch über nat funzt hat sich gerade bewiesen.

für was brauchst du das denn? ich wollte mich auch schonmal darüber informieren, aber habe nichts natives kostenloses gefunden.
wenn du es etwas komplizierter willst, geht es sicher mit cygwin und openssh. hier eine kleine anleitung.

ok, das was du meinst nennt sich ftps (ftp over ssl). aber offenbar wird das auch des öfteren secure ftp genannt. leider ist es nicht ganz so simpel das in einem nat-netzwerk einzurichten.
The problem is that the FTP protocol is really not too friendly with many firewall/proxy configurations. The problem is that there's two connections between the client and server (the control connection and the data channel) and the data channel is established using commands (PORT and PASV) that communicate IP addresses. Computers behind a NAT have IP addresses that only make sense in the Internal network and not the Internet.
This is not usually a problem with unencrypted FTP because most NAT's will fix the connection by opening random ports and changing values being communicated in the PORT and PASV commands. Unfortunately, SSL makes it nearly impossible for a NAT to make such a correction.
If you must use a FTP server using SSL behind a NAT, you should do the following:
1. Configure your NAT to forward a range ports to your server.
2. Specify that port range with PASVBoundPortMin and BoundPortMax properties. [wird wohl beim serv-u etwas anders heissen]
3. Set the IP address given in PASV replies to your NAT's external Internet IP address using the OnPASVReply event but do not change the IP address for clients that are also on the internal network.

NOTE: if your FTP Client can connect with a regular session, but not with SSL enabled then we would recommend checking if there are any NAT enabled device between the FTP Client and Serv-U. The NAT translation is not able to understand the encrypted data being sent between the client and server and thus corrupts the data connection. Currently the only work arounds are to disable the NAT functionality or move Serv-U or the FTP Client in front of the NAT enabled device.

ich würde es auf ricardo/ebay probieren. da bekommst du sicher noch soviel. ich finde, dass der preiszerfall für notebooks nicht so berechnet werden kann, wie bei einzelnen pc-komponenten.
übrigens: das nachfolgemodell x31 mit etwas besserer cpu, aber kleinerer hd, gleich viel ram, ... kostet auf toppreise noch knapp 3000.-. ich würde also sagen 1000.- ist ein schnäppchen.

hei, so ein notebook ist neu etwa 3000-4000 stutz mit studentenrabatt. ohne etwa 4000-5000 (glaub ich). wenn ich ein notebook kaufen möchte, wäre ich froh, wenn mir jemand für einen 1000er so eines anbieten würde. wem das äussere nicht gefällt, der soll es halt sein lassen. ein ibm notebook kauft man sich auch nicht wegen dem aussehen.

tja, wenn jetzt halt offiziell verboten wird, dann wird halt in den nichtraucher abteilen oder auf dem wc geraucht. ich kann mir kaum vorstellen, dass es einfach alle so hinnehmen werden. ich sehe auch den sinn dieses verbotes nicht so. aber es scheint ja grad so im trend zu sein...

ganz einfach wegen der sprache. ich mag keine deutschen games 
habe mich zwar nicht gross informiert, aber das was ich noch in erinnerung hatte, war doch die uk version mit 6 cds oder so. die ami ist glaub ich auch auf dvd. ausserdem gibts da noch eine kartonverpackung dazu. ist für mich bei einem solchen spiel pflicht.
