    Es streiten sich die Meinungen...
    Facts:
    Eine 2012R2 Std. Lizenz erlaubt zwei Virtuelle Instanzen.
    - 4 Hosts
    - 4 2012R2 Std. Lizenzen


    Szenario:
    - Alle 4 Hosts sind mit ESXi installiert.
    - Drei von vier Hosts haben nur eine Virtuelle Instanz



    Frage:
    Kann der Host welcher zwei Virtuelle Instanzen hat, eine weitere Instanz Nutzen von den single Host ?


    Microsoft beschreibt die Lizenzierung immer nur mit "Hast du ein Host, darfst du 2 Instanzen","Hast du zwei Hosts darfst du 4 Instanzen". Doch dürfen auch 3 Instanzen der 4 Hosts auf einem Host betrieben werden ?

    All products in the Microsoft Servers licensing models are licensed by running instance. Each license gives you the right to run a certain number of instances of the software on a specific server at a time.
    The use rights specify that you must first “assign” an acquired software license to a specific server. After the license has been assigned:
    • That server is the “licensed server” for that software license.
    • You may run instances of the software on the licensed server as specified in the product use rights for the product.
    • You may create and store any number of instances of the software on any of your servers or storage media.
    For example, each license for Exchange Server grants you the right to run one instance of Exchange Server at a time. That instance may be run in a physical or virtual OSE, but only on the licensed server.


    Du darfst max. 2 Instanzen pro Server starten.

    Pro Win 2012 Std. Lizenz darfst du 2 virtuelle Instanzen betreiben auf einem physischen Server.


    Also darfst du das was du vorhast eigentlich nicht, dazu brauchst du eine weitere Win2012 Std. Lizenz.

    Die Beschreibungen vom Link von Seng sind korrekt. Ist leider tatsächlich so behindert.
