    or cable modem line without the permission of your ISP. "


    Take particular note of the one-sided attorney's fee provision (You
    loose, you pay for both sides fees. You win, MPAA doesn't pay yours).
    and automatic injunctions (without their having to prove they suffered
    any harm).


    And Remote downgrades, abusive damages, etc. etc.


    Maybe it's time to boycott all American Movies and Music before
    the MPAA gets world domination through through stealth legislation.
    And write your state legislatures before it's too late!

    wow du hast aber ne fette leitung! 14 400 war damals wohl standard (oder 9600)


    wie hiessen diese "modems" wieder bei denen man den telefonhörer drauftun musste? akkustikkoppler? war damals noch recht jung aber der grosse bruder vom kolleg war voll dabei. ging aber meistens um kopierte amiga-games :skull1

    Angefangen hats wohl mit 120 Baud. :) Ich stieg bei 9600 ein..

    edit: 20.3.1997 war 115200 baud längst normal, wo hast du nur n 57600er modem aufgetrieben? :P

    nenene, ihr müsst unterscheiden zwischen COM<->PC Verbindung und Modem<->Modem! COM<->PC war ziemlich schnell hoch... logisch.. aber Modems sind bis heute nicht über 57'600...und das auch nur im Labor

    modem<-->modem ist 56k das maximum, oder was meinst du?


    mit baud ist immer modem-->comport gemeint


    bei seinem modem ist der baud aber nur 57.6k --> xtrem wenig :D


    edit: jedenfalls ist der baud meines alten modem mit 115k bezeichnet

    Grundsätzlich gilt die Geschwindigkeit zwischen dem Modulator/Demulator (Modem). Es nützt wenig, wenn dein Modem mit 115k angeschrieben ist, wenn der höchste physikalische erreichbare Wert beim Upload 33.6 Kbytes beträgt.



    56'000 bits = 7'000 bytes = 7 K. Soviel schaufelt ein Modem maximal beim Download


    Und das ist ein Laborwert! Sobald die Telefonleitung nen knacks macht, fiel die Sau auf 33,000 bits runter. :D
